In 2018 the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted a resolution on the “Midterm comprehensive review of the implementation of the International Decade for Action, ‘Water for Sustainable Development’ 2018-2028”. The Government of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands will co-host this landmark Conference in 2023, in New York.

Meantime, an upcoming conference on water for sustainable decade in Dushanbe in June next year is regarded as an important milestone in the run up to the 2023 occasion.
